Update...

I have several cross stitch projects that I have started -- haven't made time to work on these as I've been opting for knitting instead.  My LYS -- KH is having a sale and its very tempting to go look at more yarn!  Its a beautiful day today and it would be lovely to take a walk down King Street and make a stop to look at yarn...and maybe even treat myself to an ice cream on the walk home.  Hmm...all very tempting...

Chinese Charm Bag Update...

Just a quick note.  I have just finished binding off on the bag.  Now, just need to sew it up, put in the lining and add the bamboo handles...very exciting!  I just have to get the supplies.  A shopping trip may be in order very soon... 

Progress...

Well, I am now working on my Chinese Charm bag.  I worked on it last night at the SnB -- only to realize that I had a giant hole (okay, not giant, but noticeable) that had to be corrected.  This is my first project knitting in the round and I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to fix it without making a bigger mess.  Well, fortunately, with some welcome advice from some seasoned knitters at Knitting About I was able to fix my work.  Yeah, I'm happily knitting along again!  : )

I did it!!!

I am very excited because I was able to figure out how to download my pictures from my digital camera to my computer -- it was much easier than I thought it might be, as this is also a new world to me. 

Here are the pictures of my first FO.  It is a scarf that can be found at Frugal Haus.  I used Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in denim and light blue -- it is such a lovely yarn, I must say!  I am also including a WIP... my afghan -- its similar to a basketweave pattern and I really like it.  And, finally, another WIP... a scarf in a very mindless pattern, but in a lovely Evergreen shade Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran...do you detect a pattern here with my yarn choice?  I need to spend some more time looking into the layout features for my posts, but will save that for another time as I have more knitting to do!

 

Am making progress on my afghan...

I spent several hours this weekend working on my afghan and am making progress -- maybe slow, but progress, none-the-less.  I have decided I cannot buy any more yarn until I use the stash I currently have.  I think I'm already a yarn-snob.  On my first project (a scarf -- what else?!), I chose Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran and am hooked!  Its so soft and lovely.  The current scarf I'm working on is using this yarn in Evergreen and I bought yarn in 2 other colors for future projects!  And, I bought some Noro Silk Garden yarn for the next project I plan to start.  And, I see the blogs about Debbie Bliss Cathay and want some of it too -- what I'll make out of it, I have no idea, but I really want it...  At least my afghan is using a less expensive option -- since I need a lot of yarn I decided I needed to be economical about things.  I need help already....!
